What do Dermal Fillers Treat?

WHAT DO DERMAL FILLERS TREAT?

Dermal fillers treat fine lines, wrinkles, and the loss of collagen that can occur as we age. Many areas that can be enhanced using dermal fillers include the lips, which appear fuller and younger after the procedure. Common problem areas include: brow, mouth, jaw line and cheeks. Dermacare’s staff will help you determine which filler is best for you. For some clients, several dermal fillers are used at once to obtain the desired effect.

Restylane. Restylane aids in obtaining more youthful contours and fullness to facial areas.

What does a Restylane Dermal Filler treat?

It often is used in the nasolabial fold (lines from your nose to the corners of the mouth). Restylane also commonly is used to restore volume to the lips. Like Perlane, Restylane is made from natural hyaluronic acid. In the majority of patients, results last approximately six months. Dermacare's clinical staff will help you determine which filler is best for you. For some clients, several dermal fillers are used at once to obtain the desired effect

Juvéderm™. Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring substance in your skin) that helps to add volume and hydration.

What does a Juvederm Dermal Filler Treat?

The smooth consistency gel helps to restore instantly your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds - the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

Your healthcare professional eases Juvéderm injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel, so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! It is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume. Hyaluronic acid may diminish with age, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm injectable gel works to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping to smooth wrinkles and folds. Because Juvéderm injectable gel is a imple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime.

There are two formulations of Juvederm, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus. The main difference is Juvederm Ultra Plus is a more robust formula used for deeper wrinkles and lines providing enhanced correction.

How long does Juvederm last?

Both Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus provide 6 to 12 months correction

Perlane. Perlane is an excellent choice for obtaining more youthful contours and fullness, filling in facial wrinkles and folds.

What does a Perlane Dermal Filler treat?

A common treatment area is the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Perlane gel particles are larger and designed for areas that need more correction. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin, but it diminishes with age. Perlane is made from hyaluronic acid that has been modified to last longer than the body’s own hyaluronic acid. A patented stabilization technology helps Perlane maintain its cosmetic effect for approximately six to nine months, in a majority of patients. Dermacare's clinical staff will help you determine which filler is best for you. For some clients several dermal fillers are used at once to obtain the desired effect..

Radiesse. What does Radiesse Dermal Filler Treat?

Radiesse cosmetic dermal filler can address many facial aesthetic and corrective needs. Because the results are natural looking and longer lasting, many patients turn to Radiesse to achieve a correction that revives, rejuvenates, and freshens their appearance. It often can be used with other skin fillers or with Botox to create impressive nonsurgical facial rejuvenation. The results of a Radiesse treatment are immediate.

Radiesse dermal filler typically lasts a year or more, longer than most other skin fillers, saving you time and money. Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, and minimally invasive procedure. Radiesse® works with your body, below the skin’s surface, to stimulate the production of collagen and encourage tissue regeneration. Radiesse is made of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapitite (CaHA) microspheres, which are suspended in a water-based gel carrier

How does Radiesse work?

As Radiesse is injected, the gel and Radiesse Microspheres form a “scaffold,” stimulating collagen production and encouraging tissue growth in and around the injection area. This “partnership” between Radiesse and your own body creates a natural look, comprised of your own tissue and Radiesse Microspheres. Over time, your body absorbs the gel carrier while collagen has started to grow and infiltrate the area, replacing the gel with your own, natural tissue. The Radiesse Microspheres continue to provide the support and structure for your body to grow new tissue and collagen until the Microspheres are safely and naturally absorbed into your body.

How often do I need Radiesse treatments?

Treatment results last up to a year or more for many patients. Individual results may vary, depending on age, skin type, lifestyle, and metabolic rate, so be sure to discuss your expectations with your treatment provider. Dermacare's medically trained staff will help you determine which filler is best for you. For some clients several dermal fillers are used at once to obtain the desired effect.
