Laser - Smartlipo
Thanks for visiting Dermacare’s website. I’m Dr. Michelle Barnes and I hope the following information can help you in making your best decision. Cellulite is a skin problem, not a fat tissue problem. An estimated 80% of all women over the age of 20 have cellulite, regardless of size or shape. Cellulite occurs when fat of the deepest layer of skin become over-inflated from an increase in fat storage. This fat of the skin protrudes up through the tissue causing dimpling or a “cottage cheese” appearance. Our cellulite program combines, the benefits of Laser, endermologie, therapeutic massage, firming wraps and special diet to safely reduce cellulite and firm problem areas.
Treat yourself to a smoother, sexier figure!

You can not eliminate cellulite immediately. It is however possible to reduce your level of cellulite by doing a combination of effective treatments, vastly improving your appearance. We offer a myriad of treatments to reduce cellulite. Treatments range from Lasers (Triactive, Velasmooth, Smartlipo) to Endermologie, No-Needle Mesotherapy approach, wraps and weight programs. Our treatments are individually designed for each patient. They are safe and effective for all skin types and colors. We want to stress that even if desired results are mainly found with one type of treatment, that specific means may not be comprehensive, but rather a good place to start the process of cellulite reduction. Body wraps, which is when a cream may or may not be applied to the affected area and then is wrapped usually in cellophane or bandages of some type. Body wraps may provide results that reduce excess fluids and toxins in the fat cells, but it does not achieve stretching of the connective tissue. In contrast, Endermologie,™ which stretches the connective tissue and, theoretically, mobilizes fat cells to relieve congestion.

Triactive.

TriActive uses an innovative and painless treatment suitable for all body and skin types: A comfortable mechanical massage/rhythmic aspiration distends the skin in various directions to enhance microcirculation—thereby increasing skin elasticity and improving lymphatic drainage, and 6 diode lasers penetrate tissue to stimulate fibroblasts for collagen production—yielding smoother, healthier-looking skin. TriActive also features therapeutic massage functionality-for relief of muscle pain. Additionally, the system can be used in combination with other therapies to enhance the outcomes of surgical and non-surgical procedures such as liposuction and dermal fillers.

VelaShape™

VelaShape™ contours, shapes and slims the body by improving cellulite and reducing circumference in as few as 4 treatment sessions. VelaShape has been cleared by the FDA and provides dramatic results without downtime or significant discomfort. With this unique approach, we are able to treat larger areas and multiple areas including abdomen, buttocks and thighs in less than 40 minutes. VelaShape uses combined energies known as elos to precisely target and heat fatty tissues within the treatment area. In addition, the vacuum and tissue manipulation evens out the skin to reveal a smoother, tighter figure.

Dermawave.

This No-Needle Mesotherapy approach focuses on eliminating the downsides of injection mesotherapy via a device that uses specially designed pulses of electrical energy to relieve the congested tissue in a preprogrammed treatment protocols delivered under computer control. The treatment is based on a new patented technique called Aquaphoresis™, which uses specialized electrical waveforms to help reactivate specific physiological processes in tissue that contribute to the formation of cellulite. These include microcirculation, lymph drainage and enhanced blood flow. When used in combination with specially formulated gels, the system utilizes the aquaporin water channel to deliver lipolytic ingredients to fat cells. Each treatment session lasts about 30 minutes and you will need to complete a series of 8-10 sessions to achieve results. Aquaphoresis is very patient-friendly, and no discomfort is felt during the treatment session Typical benefits are seen after 5 or 6 visits, although results obviously depend on the severity of the cellulite condition.

Endermolpogie.

Endermologie is a massage machine with 2 rollers and a gentle suction action that when rolled over the top layer of fat makes a fold. This folding action stretches the connective tissue and results in the reduction of cellulite and body measurements. FDA approved claims that involved Endermologie treatments that included temporary reduction of cellulite, reduced body measurements, increased circulation, relief of muscular pain, and reduction of muscle spasms. Usually 14-28 initial treatments, 1 to 2 times a week, are necessary to achieve the optimal results, with a monthly visit thereafter for maintenance. Treatments are usually 30 minutes in duration, and the entire body will be treated. In addition to the targeted areas, your Endermologie treatments will help increase lymphatic flow and help promote better circulation throughout your entire body. Approximately 6 treatments will be necessary to begin seeing results

Bodywrapping.

Body wraps work in two stages: absorption and squeezing. First, absorption occurs when a pore-opening substance, such as sea clay, seaweed, herbal, mineral and/or aloe vera, is applied over the area you wish to reduce cellulite. Then, the thin towels or sheets are wrapped around that body area, so that wastes and excess fluids can be “absorbed” through the wraps. Second, the body wraps (the towels or sheets used) will squeeze the body part and squeeze together any empty cell "pockets". Since cellulite is thought to be caused by congested fat cells, “squeezing” underlying tissues together after the releasing unnecessary fluids should cause those cells to shrink and diminish. Even by maintaining your body's cells in this more compacted state for a short duration encourages the body's cells to readjust and configure themselves in accordance to their new shape.

What about cellulite cream and cellulite lotion?

The number of products on the open market is staggeringly large. The effectiveness of each individual cream is relatively unknown. Be warned that many cellulite creams are categorized as “cosmetics” and not medical treatments, which are regulated by advisory boards, such as the FDA. This means that the promises these cellulite creams make on their packaging do not have scientific evidence to support their claims, and may not be true whatsoever. We only provide “medical Grade” products for cellulite treatment. However, if all you need is to reduce your appearance of cellulite for a special occasion and are not concerned about the short duration this treatment provides, then cellulite creams are a viable, relatively quick and inexpensive option. If you do choose this option, then to attain the best results from your cellulite cream, it is usually recommended to apply the cream at nighttime when your skin is more permeable and will more likely stimulate any active.
